Where Hope Grows, Futures Shine, and Communities Thrive

Years of Action: 2022-2025

LFA Canada began its work in Burundi in 2022, responding to urgent community needs with programs that educate, empower, and uplift. By partnering with local NGOs to understand the communities’ priorities, we designed programs that address their most pressing needs.

From classrooms to clinics, LFA Canada is opening doors to learning, skills, and healthcare in Burundi through investing in technology education to create job opportunities, spark entrepreneurship, and fuel a modern, knowledge-based economy.

Bringing Healthcare Within Reach

In communities where medical care is scarce, even treatable illnesses can become life-threatening. To bridge this gap, we organized medical missions offering free consultations, treatments, and vital health education.

These efforts brought essential care to underserved areas, providing individuals and families with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to safeguard their health.

Building Foundations. Creating Futures.

For many children in Burundi’s rural areas, overcrowded classrooms, untrained teachers, and limited learning materials have made quality education out of reach. We responded with interactive language and computer classes, soft skills training, hot meals, and recreational activities. We also supported the establishment of the Lycée Technique Sainte Marie, a secondary school specializing in IT, telecommunications, and computer equipment maintenance.

Today, 1,150 children are learning in safe, well-equipped classrooms with skilled teachers, gaining both academic knowledge and practical skills for a brighter, self-reliant future.
